Megan Destito is the owner of Southern California Exchange Services, Inc. (“SCES”).
Megan’s experience within the 1031 exchange industry began inside a Santa Barbara law firm back in the year 2000. and has been charging forward ever since.
Shortly thereafter, Megan was recruited as Vice President for another exchange company, before she branched out on her own and successfully operated her business until 2007. At that time, she got married and took time away from her career to raise two beautiful children.
Being fortunate to stay at home with her kids and keeping abreast of the real estate markets, her passion for the 1031 exchange industry was drawing her back in. Megan knew there was a need for her level of expertise because there was not a local exchange company that could educate Realtors and their investor clients on the importance of this great wealth-building, tax deferral strategy. Megan officially opened her doors of SCES in 2019, joined her local association of Realtors (as an affiliate), and has been charging forward ever since.
When Megan has time away from the office and is not shuffling kids to and from their daily activities, you can find her hiking the Santa Monica Mountains, paddle boarding the local harbors, or walking her two Great Danes
